Located in the mountains of West Virginia, Knobley Mountain Dexters is dedicated to breeding Traditional Irish Dexters as they were intended to be. Small in size, dual purpose (beef & dairy) & the gentle temperament the breed is known for. Our Dexters are Traditionally Horned - No Polled genetics & no instances of upgrading (recorded outcrossings) in their pedigrees. All are registered, gentoyped & fully tested. We love our "Shorties" and offer both dwarf & non-chondro Dexters.

Traditional Red Preservation Project
Knobley is excited to be part of this preservation effort & we are working together with other breeders to save this important part of our heritage breed. The color red was all but lost in the Traditional herd, but now is coming back to our fields. We are honored to be one of the very few breeders offering Traditional Reds!
